Manufacturer: Flax Snacks
Model: Flax Snacks
Category: Horse Treats
Purchase: I purchase these Flax Snacks regularly from Tractor Supply for about $12.
Likes: They smell good enough to eat and all my horses LOVE them. They have a cinnamon spice and herbed scent (maybe rosemary?). My palomino gelding seems to know I have these in my pocket from across the paddock and comes running when I yell "Treats!". I also like the fact that it's a treat but has the health benefits of flax.
Dislikes: It would be nice if they were priced a little lower, but that's the way it is. The packaging says to feed up to 7 treats a day, but I usually only feed 2 to 3 at a time.
Quality: These treats are cookie shaped (about 3" in diameter) and easy to break into smaller pieces. They hold their shape in the bag with only a few broken pieces at the bottom.
Summary: Of all the treats out there, it's nice to feed one that actually does the horse some good. Not all horse may like the cinnamon and herb-y taste, but mine certainly do. Given them a try!
Usefulness Rating: 0 out of 5.
