Purchase: I bought this saddle over a year ago at The Paddock tack shop in Ledyard, CT. I receive an employee discount, but the list price is $895. This was my third saddle and I was looking to upgrade.
Likes: This saddle is incredibly nice for the money. It is sturdy, but very comfortable for you and your horse. The interchangeable gullet is such a nice feature, allowing you to fit your horse in whatever stage he's at, or use it on two completely different horse the same day. The leather is a beautiful dark havana, smooth but sticky on the seat and knee flaps, and slightly texture elsewhere. It is easy to jump out of, stadium or cross-country (I event :D), but it is just as easy to rid on the flat.
Dislikes: I don't think there's anything not to like about this saddle!
Quality: The quality is superb-what you'd expect to find in a saddle twice the price. The stitching is beautiful and very sturdy, the leather is top-notch, the overall construction is balanced and harmonious.
Summary: I love this saddle. It fits both me and my horse incredibly well, and is still in wonderful condition after over a year of eventing and riding every day or more than once a day. Perfect for a beginner or upper-level jumper.
