Purchase: I ordered this saddle from Stateline Tack in 2005 for my first english saddle. I paid $299 for it.
Likes: It still is in good shape for a cheaper saddle it has lasted me for over 5 years. The price is very affordable. Good for people on a very tight budget or for a starter saddle. It fits my horse well.
Dislikes: The dye rubs of when you clean it and it rubbed off on two of my tan breeches and will still rub off. I did not like the color red it was, but you can get it in chocolate now. It is a very forward seat saddle. Doesn't put me in a very good position for riding on the flat ( i mostly ride and show in english pleasure). The leather takes awhile to break in.
Quality: The leather is stiff but its pretty durable. It is cut forward. The tree has held up to falling on concrete. The reg. tree fits my paint Qt. horse gelding very well.
Summary: If your not on a tight budget i would get a better saddle. I think it would suit jumper riders more than flat work use.
