Purchase: I purchased the fork online and paid $167.00 plus $15.00 freight.
Likes: I was getting desperate because the cost of shavings has gotten terribly high. In addition I had to let my help go because of the economy so I was spending all my time cleaning and none riding. So I actually bought one of these motorized ones. I don't think I am lazy, I work really hard. But I was really desperate for something to try so I figured why not. Well long story short, this thing far exceed my expectations. I was expecting a joke, but its NOT! Its hard to describe, and the video doesn't really show how easily it does the work. I spend about half the time cleaning and only put shavings in every 3 days instead of daily. I think I already paid for it in that savings alone. I am done cleaning by noon and have all afternoon to work horses again.
Dislikes: It costs alot compared to a regular fork, and it is only available through the Shakenfork website.
Quality: For a fork that has batteries and a motor, It isn't even as heavy as my Wonderfork (my former favorite which I never use that fork anymore). It has lasted far better than any Durafork I ever bought, which kept snapping tines whenever I caught them in the rubber matt cracks. The batteries last more than 25 large stalls and just let it re-charge while I clean buckets or whatever. I use it every day and it has held up great, except for the blue paint on the fiberglass handle coming off.
Summary: I can tell you that this fork saved my ability to own horses and for that it is priceless. Money it tight. But I LOVE my Shake' Fork. The fork arrived packaged very carefully and I really appreciated that too.
