Purchase: Bought it at Horseloverz for about $85. I bought the 84 inch as a lighter fall/spring blanket for a warmblood mare who spends most of her time turned out in a mixed herd.
Likes: Very nice looking blanket. The printed stars are functional in that it gives you a clue when unfolding the blanket as to up/down vs side. Nice and long, with wide shoulder gussets. It really covers the horse and keeps the mud off. Keeps the horse dry and clean. The thermomanager lining supposedly offers warmth without weight. Horse seems comfortable. 1200D so it is tear resistant. The light blue stands out in a big field -- nice when you have a lot of chestnut horses all wearing dark blankets -- you can spot yours.
Dislikes: A seam separated along the "stars" insert, for about 4 inches in the first few days of wear. After being sewn up, the blanket has no other rips or tears in a month of wear on a horse in a mixed and lively herd. One of the surcingles kept coming unhooked also in the first couple of days, until I padded the hook fastener with rubber bands to make it less easy to come undone.
Quality: Good except for the one seam separation.
Summary: I'd consider this a lite turnout blanket. Good for fall and spring rainy days, windy days, or as a winter blanket for a thick coated horse in a milder climate. Great coverage, just not heavyweight. It's pretty to look at too, even mud covered. If you want a break from dark drab blankets, or to find your horse in a crowd, this makes a nice change.
