Purchase: After searching the world over for a saddle that would fit my fat little Quarter Horse gelding I bought this saddle off eBay for $650 plus shipping (it was an absolute steal at that price!)
Likes: This is the best western saddle I have ever owned! It has fit every stock horse and large pony I have put it on and is a dream to ride. I spend a lot of long hours in the saddle riding green horses and doing ranch work and this saddle has the most comfortable and secure seat. It is so easy to keep my balance for the big, hard stops and fast turns involved in serious cattle work. I love it for riding the green horses and haven't been bucked out of it yet.
Dislikes: It's not that I have any real dislikes about the saddle... It would be nice if it had more of a roping saddle horn rather than a cutting saddle horn. But that's just personal preference.
Quality: Double J saddles are incredibly well made out of thick, top quality leather. Their saddle are hand tooled, unlike most other "factory made" saddles on the market right now.
Summary: I would highly recommend this saddle to anyone that needs a good all around saddle for reined cowhorse, working cowhorse, sorting, or penning. It's just an awesome saddle.
