Purchase: I bought this saddle used for $900, although it is in really good condition (an awesome price). The reason it was so cheap is that it is the "SLK Prototype" saddle which means that it was made by Albion for Gunther Seidel when they were finishing the SLK (which he promotes).
Likes: I do not see any difference between the prototype and the final SLK, so it is exactly the same. An AMAZING saddle...this feels like you are riding in a comfy armchair as opposed to a harder, less supportive surface that some brands have (think passier, for example). There is generous leg support, enough room to adjust your position, yet not too much so you still can have the aid of the thigh blocks.
Dislikes: Nothing, really. I am very much in love with the SLK.
Quality: Given that this is a prototype SLK and probably has had years of use, it is in shockingly great condition. Has held up beautifully. Great quality leather. Has had some stretching of holes in the billets.
Summary: Love this saddle! I have ridden in plenty of brands and this is the top of the line. It really makes a difference for having a more secure seat, proper leg position, enables me to open my hip angle way more than other saddles do.
