Purchase: The breastcollar costs around 150.00. I bought it just because it was really sharp looking.
Likes: It sure was pretty when I first got it....The leather is nice.
Dislikes: From sheik to shabby after the first month of use. It's loosing all it's spots. You can pull them out with your fingers, that is how loose they have become.
All the gold tone used on the NBHA conchos has wore off after about three months.
I'm not rough on my tack either, unless you consider weekly cleaning and oiling abusive.
Quality: The only thing I like is the picture of it in the catalog.
Well ok, the leather is decent.
Summary: Don't waste your money. If you want spots, buy Martin tack. I have never had any problems loosing spots with any of my Martin tack.
I also tried contacting Tex Tan several times about the problem I was having, but they never replied to any of my emails. It's funny, when I had a question about their tack they got back to me the next day. If that tells you anything.
