Likes: This dressage pad in white is stunning. The high pile fleece looks and acts very similar to sheepskin and the white outer shell has a shiny gleam to it that would look very nice in the show ring. The pile is thick and comfy. I bought it for a narrow withered horse and she seemed to find it very comfortable. I also used it under a wide hanoverian mare, and she seemed to like it too. If you want a thick pad that has the look and feel of sheepskin for a fraction of the price, this is a very good candidate.
Dislikes: I used it for a good six months - through the winter, and then switched to a lighter pad in the summer. When I went back to it, I discovered I couldn't feel my horse as well through this as through a thinner pad, and I decided to stick with thinner pads.
Quality: The pad had held up well, except for some loosening of the Roma label stitching over the withers. I washed it several times and dirt came off it well. The fleece looks very authentic and is very very plush. The outer fabric shell gleams under the light and looks very rich and attractive.
Summary: A good choice if you are buying a high pile fleece pad that looks like sheepskin but is more washable and less expensive. A very sophisticated and pretty pad. And a nice choice for winter, if you don't mind that it is so thick you do sacrifice some of the feel of your horse underneath you, compared to a thinner pad.
