Purchase: I bought this saddle one year ago second hand for $1600 from Island Horses a local classified service. It is probably about 6 years old now.
Likes: I absolutely love this saddle. I feel that it is one of the best investments that I have ever made. This is a very classy looking saddle. It puts you in a beautiful position, I love the way I feel in it, and how it fits my horse. The leather is very soft and smooth, but after all these years it shows no sign of wear.
Dislikes: To tell you the truth I can't think of anything that I don't love about this saddle.
Quality: As I said above this saddle has held up very well over the years. I made sure that I purchased calfskin leathers for it as I have heard that regular stirrup leathers may be too rough as the saddle itself is made of soft supple calfskin. I also never ride in jeans to help keep my saddle looking new. I do however ride in all weather conditions, including storms, and my saddle still looks wonderful. I did a lot of research before purchasing this saddle, and here is what I have concluded: It is made of calfskin, so take care of it by putting calf skin leathers on, don't ride in jeans, and clean it only with EFFAX as recommended to me by a local prestige retailer.
Summary: This saddle is beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone who is wanting a high quality dressage saddle.
