Purchase: I purchased this bridle at Horseloverz.com for $80. I got free shipping, and since I ordered a blanket at the same time and spent over $150 on my order, I was given a gift package worth $150 for free. It had a baby pad, two halters, two leadropes, a cotton longe line, a mouse pad for the computer, an english saddle cover, a western saddle cover, and a hanging grooming organizer.
Likes: Since I bought this bridle online, and I had no idea what the quality was like...I didn't want to spend a lot of money. The cheap cardboard bridles in our tack store sell for just as much...or more than this bridle. I decided to take a chance on it, for $80.
Dislikes: Absolutely nothing. It does seem to run a bit large though. I bought a horse-sized bridle, and it fit our 17hh warmblood gelding who normally wears a warmblood or oversize bridle.
Quality: The quality of the leather is GORGEOUS. Very comparable to the other bridles i've bought over the years, including kieffer, stubben, collegiate, and Cal-Tack (which is a local saddlery).
The buckles were great and seem to be made to last. This bridle came with rubber reins...which I normally HATE. I almost didn't buy this bridle because it comes with rubber reins. I figured i'd just swap the reins out.... but you know, the rubber reins are very nice. They're soft and flexible and don't feel like the bulky, stiff, cold rubber reins that I am used to.
This bridle is also "green", and uses better tanning and materials to reduce their carbon footprint.
Summary: I absolutely love this bridle and will definitely be buying more of them for our other horses.
