Purchase: I purchased this brush from State Line Tack for about $12.00. I bought it because I had heard good things about Oster, and when I was shopping for a new stiff brush, I liked how this one fit in my hand and that the bristles were not TOO stiff.
Likes: I like how it fits in my hand - Its easy to grip and doesnt hurt like some wooden backed brushes. The bristles are nice and soft, yet strong enough to get the dirt off. My horse seems to like it too - its not so stiff that it inflicts pain on her back, which is usually prone to pain from stiff bristles. I like that you can also buy alike brushes in different types! A whole Oster set!
Dislikes: The bristles get white fuzzy curls that form at the top of the brush - it happens in ALL of the Oster Stiff Brushes that I have seen and owned. The soft rubber backs, though comfortable, are easy to score and marks are clearly visible if made. Other than that, I really dont have anything bad to say about this brush.
Quality: Soft Rubber back with blue and silver colouring. Oster logo printed on top of brush. Closeley set semi-stiff, grey colored bristles for maximum comfort and easy dirt removal. You get what you pay for - these are very nice brushes to have.
Summary: An Excellent brush! Very pleased with it, despite minor defects that don't bother me much at all! Thank you Oster for this fine line of grooming products!
