Purchase: Purchased online a couple of years ago for about $125.
Likes: Heavy material, fleece lining, well insulated. Nice tail flap design.
Dislikes: "Freestyle" design. Did not fit my narrow shouldered Arab and now does not fit my broad shouldered Lipizzan (who wears the same size blanket). It ends up binding at the point of the shoulder and restricting shoulder movement kind of like a straight skirt. Mixed feelings about the way it's designed to cover the belly area. It's been great extra coverage on those really cold days but gets kind of messy when my boy horses pee.
Quality: Fabric is great. I haven't had the problems with hardware breaking that I've read about in other reviews. Insulation has remained lofty.
Summary: Very mixed. I won't buy another Taka and won't buy the Orican either now that they're doing it in the "Freestyle" design. IMHO bad design choice by Weatherbeeta.
