Purchase: I purchased the bridle brand new off of eBay for $88.00, on clearance, without reins, an absolute STEAL for this bridle which is normally around $190.00 new. I purchased this bridle because the day before, my horse had broken loose while I was tacking him up and he trampled my bridle to pieces and I wanted a nicer one ((I had a Chetak bridle before, which was a piece of junk)).
Likes: I love my Stubben Bridle! I got it in Havana colour, unpadded, with pointed raised browband and noseband. Though it says unpadded, the noseband and browband are still nice and thick. The leather is of BEAUTIFUL quality, and easy to break in after using Stubben Hamanol Leather Conditioner ((it works beautifully)). The cob size fits my horse nicely! I like that the cheek pieces are hook and stud, not ordinary buckles that look unattractive because the face outwards on the bridle. Stainless Steel hardware, more durable and more stain-resistant than brass. Also available in London, Chocolate Brown, Black and in a padded version.
Dislikes: Well, it didnt come with reins, but that has nothing to do with the product itself. Note that the Havana colour for Stubben is more of a reddish/chestnut color than brown, I wish it was a little more brown than red. Because of the odd havana colour, unless you buy stubben reins to match, it is VERY difficult to find matching reins. Those are the ONLY flaws in this bridle... which are more company flaws than anything. Stubben makes great products, you would not be disappointed and they last a lifetime.
Quality: Soft, Pure leather with all stainless steel hardware. Pointed raised browband and noseband. Unpadded version, which is no problem - it is still a wonderful bridle! A+++ quality, will last forever.
Summary: The best bridle, I will only buy Stubben tack from here on ((I only have Stubben saddles and bridles and martingales, even cleaning products!)). Stubben is WONDERFUL!
