Purchase: I bought these boots from my local tack shop for $75.00. I bought them because I wanted a pair of tall boots.
Likes: They do hold your leg more securely in the saddle then half chaps do. They are also very easy to clean, as you can just wipe them off with a wet paper towel or rag.
Dislikes: They don't breathe easily, which is annoying. Even in the winter my legs would be sweaty when I would take them off. In the summer I sweated through my socks and breeches because they didn't breathe. Also, even the slim was too big for my leg. The way it was cut was also bad. The calf area stuck out weirdly. The last thing that I hated about it was the plastic zippers. They got stuck more then once, and then both of them eventually broke. I rode in them 1-3 times a week, and it was not very hard riding either.
Quality: They're okay. They could be better, they could be worse. I couldn't see myself buying these again for more than $50, because I can buy another pair of boots for a little more that are a billion times better than these.
Summary: The bottom line.... If you want a pair of cheap tall boots for schooling shows, these are perfect for you. However, you can't ride in these more than once a week if you want them to last.
