Purchase: I purchased this blanket from Dover Saddlery for $149.00. I needed a tough, waterproof blanket that would hold up to the other horses in the field. One of the horses likes to use the other horses blankets as a tug-of-war toy and is very hard on the blankets. This blanket has held up very well.
Likes: I love that the front of the blanket is adjustable and once it is set there is a clip and dee ring, so you don't have to fool with the straps everytime. I really love the color. I got the Navy/Magenta Plaid. My horse has a thick neck, and I like the way this blanket does not strangle her.
Dislikes: I don't like that the tailflap is removable. However, it is held on with heavy duty velcro and seems very secure. The is absolutely nothing else that I can complain about.
Quality: I am impressed with the construction and fit. It seems to be very well made and all of the hardware is rustproof. It is waterproof and water instantly beads up on it. This blanket really looks like it is made to last.
Summary: I do think that this blanket is cut more for a slender built horse. I do not think that it would fit a broad shouldered horse very well. I am very pleased with this blanket.
