Purchase: I purchased this in a small, 250 gram container from Hitching Post Tack shop in Middletown, KY for about $10.00. I have all Stubben Tack and it was reccomended for use on the tack, so I purchased it to see how it worked.
Likes: I love this soap! It not only has a nice smell, but it works SO WELL. It isnt liquid, but in a solid saddle soap form so it isnt hard to use. You just wet the sponge a little, apply a nice generous amount and rub it in! You wait a few second and then polish it in with a rag! No rinsing, unlike using ordinary saddle soap! I love that it doesnt leave a sticky residue, unlike Lexol or Murphys Oil Soap. It isnt oily or sudsy when applied with little water on a sponge, unlike some cleaners which leave the leather covered in white suds, requiring careful rinsing. I am very very pleased with how it makes your saddle shine and appear new. A wonderful tack cleaning soap!
Dislikes: Nothing! This is a very wonderful soap to have around for easy and quick tack cleaning that gets done RIGHT!
Quality: Glycerin Leathersoap, in a solid form. Durable, round plastic tubs with screw-on lids. 9.4oz. (267gr.) tub or 15.9oz. (450gr.) tub. It smells nice, unlike alot of other soaps and doesnt get messy, unlike barred saddle soap which gets wet and nasty in cardboard boxes or lexol which leaves a sticky mess! Great soap!
Summary: The best leathersoap ever! Wont buy any other soap ever again!
