Purchase: Purchased from Valley Vet Supply online. Paid about $60. Needed a bale bag to get hay from car to feed room, and keep car clean.
Likes: The 5 wheels and multiple handles on this nylon bag made toting the bale of hay very easy, including pulling it out of my SUV and going over a couple bumps on the way.
Dislikes: First time I took it to the feed store to have them put a bale of orchard hay in it, they could not zip the bag shut because it was too small (bale no bigger than normal). When they tried to lift it into my car, the bag tore at one of the handles.
Quality: It looks nice, but is obviously too small and not strong enough to lift a bale without tearing. Valley Vet was GREAT about refunding, asked me to send a photo of the tear but didn't have to return the bag (huge hassle). Found a larger, much stronger bag at Miller Harness online for the same price, different manufacturer. Transferred bale to new bag easily and no tears and could zip it shut!
Summary: Buy the bale bag from Miller Harness. I don't blame Valley Vet, they are a GREAT company and have just about the best prices. They also offer excellent customer service.
