Purchase: I bought this saddle recently at Horsemen's Outlet in Lebanon NJ, during their semiannual 20% off sale. The saddle cost me $1,151.32. What a bargain. I have been searching for a saddle that fits my long legs. All the saddles that I have tried, and there have been many, either don't fit my horse or me. I have tried used saddles that cost over $3000 that didn't fit me or my horse as well as this Pessoa.
Likes: The Pessoa Gen X has the softest seat ever. It is a relatively deep seat that keeps your tush in the correct place comfortably, especially when doing the sitting trot. The flaps are made with a nice knee roll and knee block combination that keeps your legs in the correct position. The longer X flap is perfect for a rider that has long hip to knee points. The parts that touch the horse are also made of a soft padding that seems somewhat flexible, especially near the shoulder. And finally the price is right.
Dislikes: I do not have any complaints.
Quality: The leather is nice with a little bit of tackiness. The saddle is new so all I can say is that I hope the quality and construction is long lasting.
Summary: I would recommend the Pessoa Gen X saddle for Equitation, Hunters/Jumpers and trail riding. The saddle with an X Long Flap is great for long legged riders.
