EZ Fit Treeless Saddle
Endurance Trail
Trail Saddles
Manufacturer: EZ Fit Treeless Saddle
Model: Endurance Trail
Category: Trail Saddles
Purchase: This saddle was $800.00 and I was allowed custom colors, hardware, stirrups and leathers. I learned about this saddle through our PA Haflinger club. Many of the members use this saddle and I was impressed with the fit on all horses, the spine clearance, the fact that it does not slip even on a Haflinger and how adjustable it is.
Likes: As I mentioned above..
Spine clearance, choices, non slip, how it fits every horse I tried, how my horse now moves more freely, adjustability of stirrup, cantle, and rigging positioning, the fact that it has a twist so I do not have to do a split to ride treeless,I do not need a saddle pad, the enduro rigging which holds it secure on our huge hills, its light weight, the quality, how concerned Eli Beidler, the maker is with our needs. I also like that it is handmade in the USA.
Dislikes: It took about two rides to get everything adjusted for me. I felt like the stirrups were too far back from new and at first it hurt my knees when I went for more than an hour. A simple adjustment and a call to Eli (he is Amish so I had to leave a message) fixed it. My mare now comes right to me to be saddled when I bring out the EZ Fit.
Quality: The saddle is made of leather with a suede seat. The pommel is made of high density foam which slowly molds to every horse from flat to narrow withers. The cantle, rigging and stirrup leathers are velcroed under the seat and can be moved to any position under the seat. Leathers can be english, western with fenders or western with out fenders. The underside is a perforated Tacky material with closed cell foam to give the lift and the twist, it does not need a pad on most horses. It has cruper, breast plate and tie down rings. It is rigged for centerfire rigging or enduro rigging.
Summary: It is well made and solves every problem I have ever encountered with a treeless saddle. It is now my saddle of choice above even famous top name saddles in our barn. My family and the neighbor children also love this saddle. I no longer need a tack room full of saddles. This one is perfect for our family. I love using it in the winter because it is nice and warm and the deep seat is secure even for my old bones when my mare feels frisky.
