Purchase: I bought this bridle from our local State Line Tack for 89.99, because I needed a new bridle for local shows, and didn't want to wait for one by mail. Also, my cousin is using my horse, and my wonderful Stubben bridle has a tiny crack on the noseband after over 10 years of service, which is unacceptable in 4-H rules, no cracks allowed. So I bought a new bridle, intending on using it mostly for 4-H shows and local open shows.
Likes: I like the color of the bridle, and how it fits my horse, but that's about it.
Dislikes: The leather looked nice in the store, but after the first use it looked like it was going to crack, and the color rubbed off some, especially on the reins. I oiled it several times, to no avail. The biggest dissapointment was the keepers on the bridle. They do not hold the excess leather at all and so it flaps all over when you ride, definitely not what you want to show in! It's very sloppy looking with the excess leather and useless keepers. Looks like a $25 bridle.
Quality: Poor, the browband has missing stitches that I noticed when I cleaned the bridle the first time. I'd say that everything I said in the last paragraph pretty much sums it up.
Summary: I wish I hadn't bought this bridle. Would have been better off buying a quality bridle for $50 or $75 more, I'd have at least known it was going to last and look nice! I will definitely not buy another one of these!!
