Purchase: Got this online on sale for $99- unheard of price since this retails for over $250.
Likes: This blanket is going on it's 3rd winter. The 1680 denier is fantastic and is well worth the money. There is not any damage to this blanket- the lining is just worn because it has been used for 3 years! It seems nice and warm, very waterproof, and stays in place. It is also not super long on the sides like other brands. The turteneck design is nice- it snugs up around your horse's neck and doesn't sag down to the shoulders like other blankets do. Love this blanket- will not buy a lower denier because none of my other blankets have lasted as long as this one.
Dislikes: The detachable straps seem to be a little more trouble than being convenient. My horse did lose one in the pasture- but they are easily ordered from the company for under $20.
Quality: 1680 denier, nice large buckles in the front, leg straps, belly straps, shoulder gussets, elastic "turtleneck". Well worth the money.
Summary: Some of the other Paint Rock products come in a lower denier- so make sure you buy a 1680- you won't be disappointed. The blankets do seem to run a little small so definitely order a size up. I am very surprised that more tack shops do not carry these blankets.
