Purchase: I got this at horseloverz for about $25. I've used it for about 3-5 times a week for a year on various quarterhorses, thoroughbreds and a large hanoverian mare. I wanted an inexpensive schooling bridle.
Likes: It's held up well over the past year, and shows no sign of breakage. It's very attractive, and I've gotten many complements on the braided inserts. People like bling bridles, (I don't) but this is a nice compromise between a plain raised bridle and the bling ones, and it gets noticed for that. It is very pretty. I paired it with 5 plaid braided reins after awhile, replacing the plain laced reins it came with, though they were perfectly serviceable. The horse size is plenty big for a 16.3 hanoverian mare.
Dislikes: The hardware is nickel plaited and after a year the plating shows some faint signs of wearing thin in certain spots. But it is not apparent unless you are cleaning the bridle. The leather is a bit stiff, but I am not expecting fantastic quality in a $30 schooling bridle. The throatlatch leather is getting a bit worn after a year, but shows no sign of breaking yet.
Quality: It seems very well constructed. No signs of breakage, change in leather dying or other real wear, except for some fading or tarnish on the buckle plating. I think the quality is excellent for the price.
Summary: I like this so much I bought it again in black. I really like the understated braided inserts, they add some interest to the bridle without garish glitz.
