Purchase: i have bought 3 pairs of ariat paddock boots ( one after the other), two of them were around $100, and one pair was $150. They were bought out of the Dover catalog
Likes: The boots are pretty, and well fitting, especially the ones with the square toe box. The leather is soft and easy to break in.
Dislikes: The complete waste of money!!! All three boots fell apart within 4-6 months of wearing them. I do work in the barn and ride all day, but I am very good at cleaning and oiling my boots, often. I figured the first pair of boots was just a 'lemon' pair. The sides by my toes peeled back, they cracked in the ankle and across the top of the foot. They ripped off the sole down the inside a good 3 inches. I bought the other two pairs, hoping to have better luck. Not so!! All 3 pairs fell apart the same way. What a waste! I called Ariat to see if I could get a replacement, but never received a reply. Perhaps they know how bad the quality is!!
Quality: In the beginning, the quality seems fine, and the leather is soft and pliable. But let a few months go by, and the whole front end of the boot falls apart!
Summary: I wouldnt waste any money on Ariat paddock boots. I have now bought a much cheaper brand, and they have held up for 3 years so far!!
