Jumping Saddles
Manufacturer: County
Model: Conquest
Category: Jumping Saddles
Purchase: I purchased a Conquest new in July 2004, with special shoulder pads (custom) to fit my downward sloping horse.
Likes: The saddle is extremely comfortable in the seat and legs. It keeps my legs in excellent position, even going up and down banks in cross-country, thanks to the knee and calf blocks. Saddle has medium deep seat, so it's easy to get out of the saddle. I could ride in the saddle all day. XRC leather has zero break in time.
Dislikes: Not comfortable for trail or general flat riding, because the calf blocks dig in if you have your stirrups set long. So, this can't be used as a general purpose saddle.
Quality: Excellent construction and quality.
Summary: This is the best jumping saddle I have ever owned. I feel I have more security on the cross-country course than my fellow riders, thanks to this secure saddle.
