Purchase: I purchase this from the Orange-Madison Farmers Coop for $6.50 a bag.
Likes: The bedding is packed tight. It takes two bags to bed my stall. Versus 3 to 4 of some of the other brands. It costs the same, but there is more of it. This makes it more economical.
Dislikes: Since it is packed tight simply opening the bag and dumping it out results in blocks of shavings that don't want to come apart. But if before opening, you jump on the bag - laid flat on the ground and where you won't get hurt, it will break apart and spread easily.
The company's website is not up to date on who sells this product. I was delighted to find it at my local coop. I would not have known this from the company's website.
Quality: The bedding is dry, small flakes with enough small bits to absorb urine very well. It is more absorbent than other brands I have used. It is always clean. I have never found debris like in some other brands.
Summary: I hate paying lots of money for bedding. For a wood chip product, this is the best and most economical.
