Purchase: I bought this product at my local Tractor Supply store for around $4 (I bought the sample size so I could give it an honest try before I bought the full sized bottle).
Likes: This product is a great hair growth stimulator and an awesome treatment if your horse scratches his/her tail. My sorrel gelding is real bad to rub his tail against the fence. His tail looked absolutely horrible, and I decided to try this after hearing amazing results from one of my horsey buddies. Reo's tail is now thicker and fuller than before, and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I was really happy with the results. It seems that Reo hardly ever rubs his tail on the fence anymore. This does the trick!
Dislikes: The smell is a bit nasty. I would recommend using latex gloves to apply because it can sting a little. Also, it should be applied at night. It is an oil based product with a sulfur in it and sunlight may adversely affect horses. None of these things should dissuade you from purchasing this product. It's really great, you just have to be careful.
Quality: It comes in a large plastic bottle with a flip-lid cap. The label is white with the product's name on it and Shapley's logo.
Summary: I will definitely be buying this again when I run out. This time, I will buy the full sized bottle. The sampler lasted a pretty good while, so I'm sure the full sized one will last a good while, too. I can honestly say that this really helped Reo and stopped his itchy tail. I'm sure it will help your horse out, too. I definitely think every horse owner should give this product a try.
