Purchase: I paid $29.95 for this breastplate on sale at Greenhawk on Vancouver Island, BC. Its brown with a padded area over the withers.
Likes: I like this breastplate, unlike the other Vala tack, this leather really feels nice and not so cheap looking. Oils up nicely and gets broken in quickly. Leather is not stiff when got it home.
Dislikes: The only thing I would have to say is, I got a cob size for my 14.1hh mare, when I tried it on her, I had to punch like 6 - 8 holes in the girth loop area so that she would not catch a foot in it. The neck and chest area were fine and fit my cob size pony, but the part where you put the girth in, was WAY to loose, it was like halfway to the ground!
Quality: Very good construction, I REALLY like the padded area that lays over the wither neck area. My mare doesn't mind it at all, good for never having a breastplate on before.
Summary: I would suggest this breastplate for somebody who is not wanting to spend alot on money. Very nice leather, for a great price!
