Purchase: I am a Chiropractor with a 4 level lumbar fusion with instrumentation. 2 level cervical fusion and a recent hip replacement. I was looking for a saddle that was comfortable so I could try to compete in endurance I needed stability, cushion and I needed close contact to my horses back. I sat on it at the AERC" Reno" convention and felt nothing like it before it was awesome. $1,100.00
Likes: It lets me sit down on the horses back, it gives you a very safe feeling. It provides complete comfort for me and the horse. I've ridden 6/50 milers last year and close to 1000 in training. I noticed on the two horses I've ridden they experience complete freedom of movement. My butt and legs make close contact to the horse. Very light weight and you can adjust your stirrups to any position you want. Fits any horse.
Dislikes: I did not like the stirrup setup "free swinging" that came with the saddle. So I purchased western fenders from freeform, cut the strap and with endurance stirrups it worked out great. The freeform part that fits to the saddle is wider and allows more dissipation of the riders stirrup weight. Due to the loss of some stability you need a quality pad like a Haf or Grandure to provide total comfort and weight displacement for 50/75 or 100 mile rides.
Quality: The construction is excellent and People constantly comment how comfortable my saddle looks when on the trail. I've let 4 people ride in my saddle and 3 riders purchased them. Last week I saw a lady who rode mine bought it and let her boy friend ride on it on Sunday and he ordered a new one on Monday. His comment was it took a couple of miles to get used to it then I really got comfortable, first time I could feel my horses back.
Summary: It has provide me with the leg position I need and the close contact to the horse and a feeling of security that I have to have. Lastly, I know it going to fit any horse that I ride on.
