Purchase: I found this saddle on Craigslist, and paid $450. plus shipping. This saddle had only been ridden in 4 times when I bought it! I was looking for an entry level dressage saddle that would fit both my horse, a classically built TB and myself, a petite rider.
Likes: It is a very nice looking saddle, good leather, great fit on high withered horses. Has a cutback pommel and comfy seat. My trainer commented how nice it was and how well it fit her 26 yr old quarter horse who is a bit swaybacked now, and yes, is still very active and gives lessons! Very nicely made saddle.
Dislikes: I am 5'2 105lbs, and though it fit me pretty well in most other areas it did not fit well in the twist/pommel area(to high?). My trainer suggested I try a different saddle to see.
Quality: Very nicely constructed. I have not had the problems with a lacquer finish on the leather, uneven billets, uneven flocking, uneven stitching, etc. that others have reported. Soft seat, not to much padding but very secure. Overall, a very nicely done saddle.
Summary: A great saddle that could easily take you from schooling to the show ring. If it had fit my forward seat area better I would have never bought a different one!
