Purchase: I purchased this saddle from e.bay and payed £300 pounds. It comes with its own girth and flank straps. Also came with a western pad. They are made in South Africa by Leon Liversage in his workshop.

Likes: I cant understand why there are no other reviews about these saddles?? It is the best saddle i have ever ridden in. It has a deep secure seat, is very comfortable for long rides. I also school my pony in the saddle. The girth fits any horse and is so secure and easy to fasten even when you are in the saddle. It has the best and easiest girthing system i have ever used. Also for a rigid tree the saddle clears my pony's spine yet the saddle is very comfy. It also keeps you upright and supports your back. You can change the western fenders to English if you prefer. The fit of the saddle is second to none on my high withered short backed pony. It is also not a heavy saddle so good choice for ladies who struggle to carry big western saddles about.

Dislikes: There is nothing at all i dislike about this saddle. The only downside is that if i went to a show or Dressage competition they would say it was a western saddle so i wouldn't be allowed to use it? which is a shame as it not a western saddle it is a South African trail or endurance saddle.

Quality: The construction of the tree is metal and wood in two separate parts. The tree is solid wood all in one piece that includes the seat. It has a separate skirt that is held underneath with leather straps and strings. But for all the seat is not deeply padded it is very comfortable. The leather is walnut brown and looks very good quality. The girth fits any horse and has buckles front and back with three way rigging. Very secure and wont slip.

Summary: All in all a fantastic saddle and what a bargain for £300 pounds. I wont be going back to my Torsion or any other saddle. So glad i won the bid on e.bay.
