Purchase: I bought this pad from Dover Saddlery for $34.90 after trying everything in the book to make my "shark backed" thoroughbred comfortable. He has very high withers, built uphill and also has lots of shoulder movement. Trying to fit a saddle was a crazy experience.
Likes: The foamy material may look cheap but it is VERY strong. My husband tried to rip it just to prove a point and he failed. This pad fit perfectly and had just enough lift to balance the saddle. The wither relief really keeps it in place and also adds a thin layer over the tops of the shoulder blades.
Dislikes: I bought this pad in white, and it gets very dirty very quickly. Hair likes to stick to it as well.
Quality: Very good quality for the price, don't pay $$$ for expensive types of riser pads. This one works great!
