Purchase: I bought these boots at Adam's Horse Supply for $34.95

Likes: I loved the price and they looked like a great boot. Sturdy, attractive.

Dislikes: They seemed to fit my horse fine and I must admit I didn't inspect them closely enough, but after I jumped my horse and took them off, I noticed that her front legs were almost rubbed raw where the velcro strap lies across her leg. Upon close inspection I noticed that where the velcro and elastic are stitched together is very poor; it created a very hard edge that rubbed my horse badly. The outside of the strap was smoother than the inside, which made no sense. In order to not have the velcro/elastic stitched area rub my horse, I would have had to pull them way too tight. The size was correct for my horse, it was just the badly sewn front straps that in no way worked. Really a dreadful flaw in construction. I was able to return them for a full refund and the sales people at Adam's Horse supply agreed that the boots were awful. I am not sure if it was just the pair I got, but if you are considering these boots, make sure the velcro/elastic sewn area is smooth and wont rub your horse, or you can tighten the elastic enough so the velcro/elastic are will not rub your horse's legs.

Quality: The boot itself, minus the strap, looked really good. Very sturdy, well-padded, velcro-closure was great. I got them in black and loved the design of the boot.

Summary: As mentioned above, the boot itself, for the money, was great, but the strap a disaster. I would not recommend this boot, unless you get a pair that does not have a hard sewn edge where the velcro and elastic come together. I'd rather pay a little more and get a boot that is comfortable all around and protects my horse and doesn't cause it any injuries. I personally do not recommend this boot.
