Purchase: I bought these boots online at Adams Hose Supplies for just under $30.
Likes: These boots provide great protection. They have a nice soft impact absorbing lining, and a harder protective layer outside. Additionally, the boot protects all the way around the leg, which is especially handy if you plan on riding cross country, or outdoors where your horse may encounter fallen branches or other obstacles.
The double velcro helps they stay snug, even when wet
Dislikes: They run quite BIG! I measured my horse's legs according to their size chart, and my horse measured as a large. The large size barely fits his front legs, and even on the back legs I have to pull the inner velcro layer super tight so that folds back on itself when I close the second layer.
Quality: These boots are generally well made, but I can imagine that the soft lining will eventually break down. I have nothing particularly negative to say about the construction of the boots, but nothing particularly positive either.
Summary: These boots met my expectations, but did not exceed them. They do a good job covering all important leg areas you would want galloping boots to cover, and they fit pretty well, but that is about it.
Also, I would definitely recommend ordering on the SMALL side, or be prepared to exchange them when they are too big.
If you have trouble finding boots that fit large warmblood legs, these might be the perfect boots for you.
