Purchase: I bought these online because I was tired of being cold when I ride in the winter. I paid in about $100 from an online store - can't recall which one now in the Great Britches Hunt. I looked at Smartpak and the TR site - one or the other.
Likes: I needed warm and I got warm. The endurance patch is a great love of mine, since I have a screwed together ankle and every little bit of security over 50 miles works for me! The fit nicely, do not bunch and MOST importantly - aside form being true, warm Polarfleece - do NOT pull my pants down! With many FS or EP britches I am constantly yanking them up, even in the saddle. Not with these. Now I want to get their summer weight ones with the same patch.
Dislikes: I don't like the higher waist on them but that is a minor issue. A couple of my other kinds have a slightly dipped front line on the waist so you do not have the WB jabbing you at 30 and 40 miles.
Quality: VERY well put together. No complaints on quality at all! When one pays a premium price for such a product - as we do for almost everything designed for endurance - you don't want to have problems with it. These are NOT KMart britches - definitely top drawer! Tight seams, no rub spots, and a soft, pliable patch. I also have their full seats which are also very well made. Just hate the pulling up the FS pants all the time. The Endurance Patch is the solution!
Summary: I Would have ALL TR pants if i could afford them. Having one pair for winter and one for summer will have to do.
