Purchase: Back in the day, I paid $1250.00 for my Blue Ridge saddle. I will say at the time it was quite a bit for me. I used this saddle for steer roping and just a plain all around using saddle.
Likes: I thought this saddle held up very well for the price. The leather was thick and durable. Maybe back then they made these saddles with more pride and integrity in the quality of their product. The saddle I have is heavy and well made for all I put it through! I ride almost every day almost enough to wear the leather off the tree and I have had this saddle for over 20 years. I would like a spankin new roping saddle someday, but fear the quality of most saddles these days are less than ideal. Most are mass produced like twinkies, sporting the cheap particle board type leather.So until I find the "right" one I will keep my old faithful.
Dislikes: Have no complaints.
Quality: The one I have is well made and stands up to everyday use.
