Purchase: I paid 200 for a once-used demo-model on-line.
Likes: Initially seemed to be very well made. Good heavy weight and quite warm, but also breathed, and so my horse was never sweaty underneath it. There are three D-rings on the chest to buckle the front closure, to adjust it with maximum flexibility. Waterproof.
Dislikes: Didn't stand up well over time. My gelding ripped the front straps after 3 weeks. He is a bit of a "Jaws-personality" with his blankets, and will bite and pull at the chest fabric, but the D-rings ripped first, and then he pulled the straps half off a few days later. After 5 weeks, he managed to rip the entire surcingle off, making the blanket unwearable.
Also, the fabric length was a bit stingy. The drop was not quite enough for my big-bodied, chunky boy, and his belly would have gotten cold had he been turned out in this blanket on a windy day.
Quality: Great, durable fabrics and materials, however the stitching did not hold up to a horse who's rough on his wardrobe.
Summary: I'd buy one again for a horse that takes care of his cloths, but for one that plays rough, I would choose a Rambo or a Saratoga Tempest Turnout next time.
