Purchase: Bought new for just over $1000.
Likes: Comfortable. The equisuede has plenty of grip, and mine has worn just fine - I've ridden it for about a year and see no signs of wear. My horses seem to like the CAIR panels, although I think they are a bit bouncier than regular panels. It is very light, I could change the gullet to fit their withers (just once - it is a pain to change gullets!), and it seems maintenance free.
Dislikes: The billets were hard as rock on arrival. In common with my Bates, it is kind of bouncy at a sitting trot. It fits me OK, but only comes in one size.
Quality: Fine. A small step below my Bates, only without the leather. I'd buy a Wintec again, but not this model.
Summary: I ended up buying a Bates because I prefer leather, and the flaps were a bit long for me. The equisuede helped me stay on when my horse bolted, but I also think this saddle is overpriced. I haven't seen one on sale new, and the regular price is only $150 less than I paid for a Bates on sale. If you are buying a Wintec, I'd recommend getting one of their more popular models at half the price of this one!
