Purchase: I bought this item in good condition used from a garage sale for $300 (with and bit, leather bridle, pad,leather breast collar, and cinch)
Likes: The saddle gives a fairly close contact with the horse. It stays in place on the horse well.
Dislikes: Some of the synthetic on the stirrup flaps are rubbing and fraying. Also the padding on the seat has been "packed down" and the exact spots where your seat bones go is rock hard.
Quality: Very good quality! I bought it used and rode almost daily in it for 7 years. All of the leather has kept it's black color and looks new. The synthetic has kept it's color too and hasn't stretched or had and problems with stitching.
Summary: I rode for such a long time in this saddle and it held up beautifully! The leather will not age an hour if you condition it thoroughly, and the over all quality of this saddle is just wonderful!
