Purchase: I bought these boots at the local tack shop (Charlotte's Saddlery) because after researching alot of boots I decided these would do best for my discipline, eventing. I purchased the front boots for $100 and the hinds for $110.
Likes: I love the fact that these boots are lightweight, don't absorb water, dry quickly, and have a shatterproof molded tendon guard on the front boots and a cannon guard on the hind.
Dislikes: The only problems I've had is that I can't seem to get them to fit just right. My horse has shorter cannons, being a Appendix/Paint cross. The hind boots rub her because they are too long. I think on a longer boned horse they would work great, but on mine, I'm thinking of hanging them up and trying something else.
Quality: The quality of the boots are great, as I've said, if my horse had longer cannons I think I'd be completely satisfied with them. They have an Orthopedic Foam Lining that molds to the horse's legs. They are extrememly contoured to the exact shape of a horse's leg. They actually did studies and all before designing the boots.
Summary: Like I said, I LOVE the design of the boots in general and wish they fit my mare better.
They also make different styles. They have them with a fleece lining that is supposedly so dense that it doesn't absorb water (great for Cross country). They also make some leather boots, Open front boots, ankle boots, bell boots, shipping boots, and an entire line of magnetic boots.
I'd have to say I would still recommend these boots because I love the way their made and the design behind them.
