Purchase: I bought this saddle used on the internet and paid $1800 for it. The saddle costs about $3000 new and this one looked almost new.
Likes: I like the independent panel design, the jet black color, the billet configuration and the feel of the seat and thigh blocks. Horses move well in the saddle. The saddle fits wide horses as the ad says it does. I bought a wider than average one first, and it was too wide for my slightly wide horse, so then bought this one which has the average Cervia tree adjustment and it fits my slightly wide horse perfectly. The tree can also be adjusted on these saddles.
Dislikes: I like everything about the saddle. At first, I was concerned that the beautiful leather would not hold up well with use. It is a rather smooth leather, but after several years of use, the only areas of wear are on the flap where my calf goes. The seat leather still looks new.
Quality: It has smooth leather which is holding a jet black color over time really well. The panels are independent and are not gusseted. They seem to fit most horses well.
Summary: Excellent saddle for horse and rider. If you can purchase one used, it would save money, but if you have to pay full retail, you would still be happy over time. Great saddle!
