Purchase: Acquired from SmartPak Equine in August '09 for $15.95 w/Free Shipping as part of of an order I'd placed.
Likes: The cute ribbon trim. It's baby pink with little yellow flip flops on it. The pad itself is white with a quilted pattern.
Dislikes: Pretty much everything else! I use baby pads as a liner under my regular square saddle pads because my pads are brightly colored and I don't want them fading from frequent washing. I like to wash the liner (baby) pads once a week to keep them from irritating my horse's skin from the dirt, sweat, etc. they collect. And before I got my pony, I used to use baby pads to use my pad on different horses I rode, just in case any of them had "skin issues". The VERY FIRST time I washed this baby pad, it SHRUNK from the size of a normal pad, to the size of a pony pad-- or maybe smaller; I've never measured it. I just know it doesn't serve any purpose for me anymore, because it no longer covers enough surface area under my regular pads. And the quilted fabric on the top of the pad puckered up like a shriveled lemon, so now it also looks awful to boot.
Quality: Made from 100% cotton. Someone needs to tell JPC Equestrian to start using PRE-shrunk cotton for their pads-- or maybe switch to cotton blended with polyester.
Summary: As stated above, the pads are very cute, and economically priced for the "couture" factor they have (instead of just being solid white, black, navy, etc.), but they need to up the quality control before I will consider purchasing another one of these. I was terribly disappointed over the whole thing.
