Purchase: I purchased the boots at Equus Now about $300 on sale.
Likes: These are the 2nd pair I've purchased. The last pair I bought was about 3 1/2 years ago. They held up very well since I don't take the best care of my boots. The only reason I bought a new pair was the elastic part on the inside of my knee was finally starting to come apart. Once broken in they are extremely comfortable. I absolutely love the insoles built into the boot. The zipper make them extremely easy to put on and take off. I used to have a pair of pull on boots. These boots weren't Ariats and I swear my leg would go numb sometimes after pulling them on. The zipper makes the boots so much more convenient.
Dislikes: The calf size seems to run small. I had to get a half a size bigger than I should wear just so the boot would close around my calf. I don't have huge size calfs, so going up a half size just to zip the boots close didn't exactly help my ego! :)
Quality: The leather is comfortable and well made. The insoles make the boots very comfortable to stand in. Once broken in, these boots are pretty much perfect!
Summary: I want to give these boots more of 4.5 versus 4, but there's no option. The only reason I'm giving it a 4.5 is because of the size of the calf in the boots. Maybe I'm just being a little conceited! :D I would highly recommend these boots. They are a little expensive, but they are well worth the money you pay. If I would have taken better care of my boots, they probably would have lasted a little longer. Even though almost four year of use makes it worth spending more money up front versus buying cheaper boots more often.
