Purchase: I purchased this girth from an Ebay auction for about $100 for my large hunter gelding. He is very girth sensitive and I wanted something to help his anti-girth attitude. What could be better than a soft and squishy girth??
Likes: It is pretty. Mine had a dark oiled leather, tapered at the elbows for a nice contoured fit. The fancy stitching is done in a very light thread so it stands out nicely. The elastic works fine and the hardware seems standard.
Dislikes: Well, let me tell you! Other than looks at thirty feet, there is not much to like about this girth! It is very stiff! The sheepskin feels cheep and is thin. All I can think it, "poor horse!" It has the looks with none of the substance to back it up! Yucky. Now I just have to save up for an expensive one anyway. I guess you do get what you pay for!
Quality: It hasn't fallen apart yet. Does that count? It also keeps the saddle on. Stitching is big, but has stayed put.
Summary: Save up for something nicer and skip this one.
