Purchase: I bought my black Duett Rondo 2/18" seat/28" wide from Trumbull Mountain Saddlery in VT for $899.00. They have a website. They have THE BEST saddle trial policy. Nancy from Trumbull Mountain was with me every step of the way, and I will never buy a saddle from anyone else. Thanks Nancy! I first attempted to order a Duett directly from Nancy Temple at Duett in the USA but dealing with her was a nightmare. Beware! Duett saddles are great, but do not order directly from Duett here in the USA. You won't save any money anyway.
Likes: My horse is extremely hard to fit. She is short-backed, has a very wide, flat back, and needs a wideeeeeeee saddle. She also needs gusseted panels. Duetts are perfect for these types of horses. The leather is nice, the saddle is very comfy for me - for jumping, ringwork, and out on the trail. It is easy to find black tack to match, and the black looks sharp on my light-colored mare, even great for showing. The gullet is plenty wide and gives her spine plenty of clearance. Love this saddle!
Dislikes: Nothing! Finally a saddle that fits both me and my horse.
Quality: Excellent!!! Especially for the price.
Summary: If you have a hard to fit wide horse/pony/draft consider a Duett. Your horse will thank you, your riding position will improve, and finally you won't be afraid that you are hurting your horse's back.
