Purchase: I purchased the Brenda Imus bit, almost 2 years ago, at the Equine Affair in Massachusetts for about $70.
Likes: My horse adjusted to the new bit rather quickly.
Dislikes: The other day my gaited horse was flinging his head up. I noticed the bit was separating at the roller. The separation is causing the bit to pinch him. This bit wore out too quickly.
Quality: I have other bits that I have used for 8 years or more and they are still in good condition. I paid the same or a little less for these other bits. This must be a defect in the product since it wore out so quickly.
Summary: I would not recommend this bit to any of my riding friends due to the cost and a short life span. There are other bits that work as well and cost the same or less and last for several years.
