Model: 4 Star Event
Category: Jumping Saddles
Purchase: I purchased this saddle slightly used from ebay for $550. I needed a saddle that would accommodate my VERY long legs (36" inseam).
Likes: The knee and thigh blocks are adjustable making for a custom fit feeling. The velcro holds the blocks like glue. The seat is deep and secure while forgiving over fences, it's soft and comfortable for hacks. It accommodates my long legs beautifully and is the very first saddle I've had that my knees don't over shoot the flaps. The flaps are soft and comfortable. Everyone who's ridden in it loves it AND they've come out with an XCH gullet system. YAY! My horse seems to find it comfortable as well.
Dislikes: The leather is very soft and tends to scuff easily. They are hard to find used.
Quality: The leather is soft and lavish, in a beautiful rich tone. It feels like a far more expensive saddle with quality hardware and tight, neat stitching.
Summary: I'm in love with this saddle. I thought I'd never find something to fit my legs and my budget. If you can find one, GET IT! You'll be pleasantly surprised.
