Purchase: I got my new saddle through Dover. I had been using my trainers PJ(What a dream)but needed to finally break down and but my own saddle. I didn't want to spend the money for the really expensive saddles but also didn't want a saddle that would fall apart in a year or two. I searched up and down and tried multiple saddles including stubben,HDr,the Circuit brand and looked and sat in many others.I finally decided to test ride the pessoa and I loved it. I took it fox hunting,cross country, jumped and just rode the flat in the ring. I paid $1259 for the saddle but it also came with a new bridle. I recommend buying it from any store that has a "test ride" program.
Likes: I really love this saddle and think that it is a great deal for the money. With the Bayflex padding and the super comfy leather you can't go wrong. Even with the saddle being brand new it was great to ride in. I bought the leathers to match the Oakbark color and my black horse looks great in it. Also if I ever end up needing to put the saddle on another horse it has an adjustable tree.
Dislikes: I like pretty much everything. I am a little nervous about not having wool flocking but this saddle has serious promise for the long term.
Quality: The leather and stitching is high quality. Feels like sitting on a couch that moves when riding.
Summary: Totally worth it. Go to the closest retailer of the Pessoa GenX and try one on for a few days. I am sure you'll be pleased with what you find!
