Purchase: I bought these stirrup straighteners on Ebay for $22
Likes: I like the idea of having the fenders flat on the saddle in order to relieve knee strain. I tried turning the fenders by leaving them turned with a broom handle, but they still made my knees ache after a few hours in the saddle. These stirrup turners were pretty cheap, so I thought I'd give them a try.
Dislikes: They rubbed the skin off my legs! The design isn't quite as slick as some of the swivel stirrup turners. They are basically a nylon loop with a bolt running though them, and the bolt and the corners stick out just enough to irritate the #$@! out of my leg right above my riding boot. They also caused me to have to raise the stirrup three holes, which I suppose can't be helped, but it would cause a problem for someone using the top couple of holes for the correct stirrup length.
Quality: They are tough - they lasted a lot longer than the skin on my calf :)
Summary: They didn't work for me. I'd rather have knee strain than ulcerated lag sores. I may try one of the stirrup swivel brands that don't have any parts sticking out past the stirrup or the fender, but right now I'm just disappointed and have band-aids all over my legs.
