Purchase: I recieved this as a christmas present - It was $255, new on eBay in custom colors to match my cross country colors - red, black, and white. I got it in a Ladie's size small. I had outgrown my last Charles Owen, in royal blue and needed a new one to match my new colors.
Likes: Everything! It provides the maximum amount of protection, is not sectioned off like Tipperaries, but still very flexible and easy to move in for jumping. it is available in a wide range of colors, and custom colors are available. It's a level 3 Body Protector - the maximum protection level. Charles Owen is well known for the best protection products, used by the best Event Riders in the world. Many different velcro closures with front push-release snap. Highly adjustable in 2 different places for the perfect fit. Highly breathable neoprene and mesh, doesnt retain water. Very comfortable too!
Dislikes: Price - but I guess it's not bad compared to Tipperary Vests, and it provides alot more protection and higher performance standards.
Quality: Highly breathable, thick neoprene vest with tail flap. Highly adjustable shoulder straps and a push-release adjustable elastic front strap. Super protection and very solid.
Summary: The best protector available on the market! Would highly reccomend to anyone interested in investing in a quality body protector for any discipline that involves horses!
